Holly, a 16" Christmas Snowfolk dollye

Holly is a Diamond K Folk Art original, one of a kind Christmas Snowfolk, and is16" tall. I have hand sculpted her head & arms from paper mache and given her eyes and mouth of whole cloves. She herself is dusted with German glass glitter and sparkles just like real snow! Her body is cloth, with painted lower legs and slippers with stitched on big blue organdie bows to match her blue stripe stockings.
Holly is dressed c1830, and wears taupe gingham pantaloons, indigo petticoat, and beautiful blue gown with pleated front and full gigot sleeves. All hand stitched of coarse. Her c1830 poke bonnet is covered on the outside with taupe gingham, and on the INSIDE with vintage crinoline. It is entirely hand stitched, with my lable in the crown. She holds her little glass glittered paper lantern, to light her way as she goes carroling well into the night. She will come with her own painted wooden dowel stand.

Large Size Queen Anne Pin Dollys

Perfect for gift giving and use all year round, I have made 2 Queen Anne Pin dollys in a larger than nornal size for my Dear friends who really do use them as pin cushions. Their brown toile dresses go well with pretty much any decor too. I love them, and know you will! I have sculpted their head and hands from mache, and painted them on mature ladye faces~ including their own fair share of fashionably placed 'patches' (really not beauty marks, but a cunning way of hiding scars from the small pox) . Both Ladye Pomme, and Ella, wear antique lace sleeves and bonnets, with hand inked inscriptions of " The Works of thy Hands" on their mache box bases. I have filled both with wool roving to keep your needles and pins nicely oiled and conditioned~

Included with both is a 100% beeswax make do for waxing ones sewing thread.

A OoAk Queen Anne Holiday Polishnelle

Merry Christmas! This will be my last Holiday Doll update before Christmas~ and to finish, I have picked my favorite~ a wonderful 18th century 'Polishnelle'.

She...or he, stands 12" tall to the tip of the hat, with the hanger a few inches more. This is my vision of an early 18th century Christmas puppet doll, and she looks just dazzeling hanging on the tree! She is one of a kind, with full marrionette body, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. A string hanger is attached to the top of her head, and she still retains olde strings from her arms. I have hand sculpted her from mache, and given her black glass eyes. Her clothing is spectacular, all hand stitched from 18th c silk brocade and antique lace. The brocade a cherrished bit from a long ago dismantled coverlett. For special sparkle, I have trimed her festive garb with tinsel and rusty jingle bells. Hat is an open bicorn type, with WILD mohair jetting out the top! Antique 18th century real silver lace and silk bows trim the plush early 19thc hand printed felt it is made from. GORGEOUS!

I left strings attached to the arms, tho the early silk is so very fragile and stiff from age, dolly only likes to dance when I am not looking ;)
